The Driver Stats Experience

At Shipt, we’re committed to providing tools you can choose to use to achieve your greatest potential. That’s why we’re enhancing the Driver Stats experience by displaying them directly in the app so they’re easier to access and understand. When the in-app stats experience goes live in your area, you will start with a clean slate, and your total delivered packages and total completed routes will be displayed.

To help you adjust to this new experience, there will be a grace period during which your in-app stats will not affect your status on the Shipt platform. However, your overall performance and conduct as a driver will still be assessed per the App Access Guidelines. You’ll receive an email 2 weeks prior to the grace period ending with more information.

You are in control of your stats. Aiming to maintain excellent stats through efficient pickup and delivery is an important part of being a driver.

Keep in mind, the more you choose to drive, the more opportunities you will have to learn from your experiences, develop your skills, and grow your independent business. Shipt's in-app stats experience is designed to give you more transparency and clarity into your work by providing you with a comprehensive view of your activity.

To see your stats, tap Stats from the app’s main menu.

Stats

On the Stats page, you can view your pickup success and delivery success stats for the Last 15 routes. Your stats will be classified as Excellent, Good, Fair, or At risk. If you have not completed any routes, you will not see any stats. As soon as you complete a route, your stats will populate.

To avoid account deactivation, drivers should maintain Fair, Good, or Excellent status on all stats, which are measured across the Last 15 routes. The first time one of your stats falls below Excellent, you will receive an in-app notice. If one of your stats falls to At risk, you’ll receive a 2nd in-app notice and your account will be at risk of deactivation. If your stat doesn’t improve after a 2nd notice, your driver account will be deactivated. For more information on deactivation, click here.

You can complete the optional Driver Pro Tips for Success course at any time for tips on how to develop your skills as a driver and maintain excellent stats. Click here to access the course.

We understand that things can happen outside of your control during a route. For that reason, we offer stat forgiveness on a case-by-case basis. All submissions will be reviewed, but Shipt reserves the right to accept or deny any request(s). To submit a request for stat forgiveness, click here

Pickup success

Your pickup success stat is calculated based on the Last 15 routes or total routes if less than 15 routes have been completed. This stat consists of 3 components – your claim reliability, arrival reliability, and package pickup reliability.

We’ve broken down each component of the pickup success stat below:

  • Claim reliability
    • The claim reliability stat calculates the routes you’ve dropped within 60 minutes of the end of the arrival window for the Last 15 routes.
    • You can keep this stat in good standing by not dropping a claimed route less than 60 minutes prior to the end of the designated arrival window. For example, if the arrival window for your route is 9:45 a.m.-10 a.m., you have until 9 a.m. to drop the route without penalty. If you drop the route after 9 a.m., your stats will be impacted.

  • Arrival reliability
    • The arrival reliability stat calculates the amount of times you’ve missed the arrival window for the Last 15 routes.
    • You can keep this stat in good standing by arriving at the sortation center on time and not requesting for a route to be rescheduled for a later time.

  • Package pickup reliability
    • The package pickup reliability stat calculates the amount of packages picked up versus the amount of packages available for pick up for the Last 15 routes.
    • You can keep this stat in good standing by picking up all packages on a claimed route.

Delivery success

Your delivery success stat is calculated based on the Last 15 routes or total routes if less than 15 routes have been completed. This stat consists of 2 components – your package delivery reliability and route completion reliability.

We’ve broken down each component of the delivery success stat below:

  • Package delivery reliability
    • The package delivery reliability stat calculates the number of packages successfully delivered versus the packages picked up for the Last 15 routes.
    • You can keep this stat in good standing by successfully delivering all packages on a claimed route.

  • Route completion reliability
    • The route completion reliability stat calculates the routes that have been delivered and/or returned on time for the Last 15 routes.
    • You can keep this stat in good standing by completing all claimed routes, making any returns by the end of the delivery day, and completing all status actions (such as Mark as delivered or Swipe to complete route) as you go.

Rookie Period

Rookies are drivers that have completed fewer than 15 routes. During your rookie period, you will receive guaranteed stat forgiveness, if requested, for one stat that falls below Excellent within your first 15 completed routes.

If you’ve completed more than 15 routes, you also have the opportunity to request stat forgiveness. All submissions will be reviewed, but Shipt reserves the right to accept or deny any request(s) past the rookie period.

To request stat forgiveness, click here and fill out the form.

FAQ

How do I know if I’m in good standings with Shipt?

  • If your status as a driver with Shipt falls below Excellent, you will receive an in-app message with more information.

When will my stats update in the app?

  • Your stats will update in real time as you mark routes as completed. If you do not see an update, you can refresh the app, or log out and back in.

Can I improve my stats over time?

  • Absolutely! The more routes you complete, the more opportunities you will have to learn from your experiences and develop your skills. Since stats are rolling averages, you can improve them by claiming more routes, arriving on time to the sortation center, picking up all packages on the route, and completing all route package deliveries. The more routes that you claim and reliably complete, the better your stats will be.

What if I believe the information shown in the app is incorrect?

  • The information displayed on your Stats screen is gathered from your historical delivery data based on your activity in the app. If you believe any information shown is incorrect, please contact drivers@shipt.com.

Do my stats impact my standing with Shipt?

  • Drivers should maintain Fair, Good, or Excellent status on all stats, which are measured across the Last 15 routes. Repeatedly engaging in unsafe behaviors at the sortation center, including arriving at the incorrect time, or any other act that violates Shipt’s Shopper App Access Guidelines may result in deactivation. For more information on deactivation, click here
